      <title>Tricare: Change in supervision requirements for physical and occupational therapist assistants</title>
      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#545456" face="Georgia"&gt;September 18, 2025&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;font color="#3A3B3D" face="Georgia"&gt;Recent TRICARE policy changed the supervision requirements for physical therapy assistants (PTA) and occupational therapy assistants (OTA) in private practice effective January 1, 2025. The change indicates that general supervision is acceptable for PTAs supervised by physical therapists as well as for OTAs supervised by occupational therapists instead of direct supervision as previously required.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
