Merit-Based Incentive Payment Systems for Physical and Occupational Therapists

Physical and occupational therapists that meet the criteria to participate in the Merit-Based Incentive Payment Systems (MIPS) must do so in 2019.  Nonparticipation will result in a negative 7% adjustment to their 2021 Medicare payment, while full participation will result in a positive 7% adjustment.   The course will be held on November 28, 2018 at 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM CST.

A recording of the webinar will be available to all attendees and a copy of the slides will be distributed following the webinar.  CE credit is available for attendees that view the recording at a later date.

The webinar will answer the following questions:

  • Who must participate in the 2019 program?
  • Who may volunteer to participate and the benefits?
  • What are the requirements for eligible PTs and OTs?
  • How to report and what are the positives and negatives of each reporting method?
  • What are the Quality Measures and how to report on each?
  • What are the Improvement Activities and which are most appropriate for therapists
The webinar will also discuss important changes to PT/OT Medicare services in 2019.
