Description

Recorded November 30, 2023 Knee osteoarthritis is one of the most common musculoskeletal pathologies, and evidence-based approaches to treatment have evolved over time. In the last decade, key clinical trials and clinical practice guidelines have reshaped best practice for treating adults with knee OA. This session will show participants how to apply knowledge from the most recent evidence to improve their care for patients with knee osteoarthritis. Objectives: • Understand the most up-to-date evidence regarding manual therapy treatments for knee osteoarthritis. • Compare different delivery modes of rehabilitation for patients with knee osteoarthritis, including in-person, live telerehabilitation, and smartphone applications, and pros and cons of each. • Discuss timing of rehabilitation visits for knee osteoarthritis and potential benefits of a “booster session” approach to rehab management. • Review current clinical practice guidelines regarding exercise for patients with knee osteoarthritis. • Use current evidence to design an optimally-dosed therapeutic exercise program for a patient with knee osteoarthritis.
