SPEAKER: Kelly Covert, PharmD, BCPS, Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy. Dr. Covert received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2014 from the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy. She joined the faculty at the Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy in 2016 as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice, and she precepts third- and fourth-year pharmacy students, as well as pharmacy residents, on an Adult Medicine rotation at Johnson City Medical Center. She serves the college by chairing the Post-Graduate Preparation Committee, co-chairing the Academic Progression Committee and the Personal and Professional Development Committee, and serving as a member of the Interview Committee.  Dr. Covert’s career highlights include: 2017-2018 Outstanding Preceptor, awarded by the Class of 2018; 2017-2018 Outstanding Clinical Preceptor, awarded by the Class of 2018; 2017-2018 Honorary Preceptor of the Year, awarded by the PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residents at Johnson City Medical Center; and 2019 Faculty Award for Service, awarded by the Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy Faculty.
