North Dakota Medicaid Coverage of Therapy Services

North Dakota Medicaid coverage and prior authorization information for therapy services.  See our North Dakota Medicaid Outpatient Therapy page for more detailed information.  Members can email me with any questions or schedule a call about any Medicaid coverage, billing or compliance issues.

Adults

Physical Therapy

North Dakota covers physical therapy for children.

Physical therapy evaluations are limited to one (1) per calendar year. 

North Dakota covers physical therapy for adults with limitations.

Physical therapy evaluations are limited to one (1) per calendar year.  Physical therapy is limited to thirty (30) visits per calendar year for members age 21 and over.

Prior authorization is required after limits are met.

Occupational Therapy

North Dakota covers occupational therapy for children.

Occupational therapy evaluations are limited to one (1) per calendar year. 

North Dakota covers occupational therapy for adults with limitations.
