This course is on the business of hand therapy. The course will cover topics such as: measuring productivity, key number of patients, cancellation rates, appropriate number of assistants to therapists, compensation, and other issues related to management and profitability. The course will have 1.8 hours of content through slides and lecture, and the remaining 15 minutes dedicated to Q and A.
Course Objectives
• Participants will have a better understanding of how to measure productivity in a therapy practice;
• Participants will learn about national averages for procedures/provider work hour, procedures/visit and visits/day;
• Participants will learn about the ideal number of new patients per therapists;
• Participants will learn methods to reducing cancellation rates;
• Participants will know about Medicare enrollment and payer contracting;
