Arizona Physical Therapy Examination Scores

Physical Therapists

To be licensed as a PT, an applicant shall obtain:

A scaled score of 600 or more, based on a scale ranging from 200 to 800 on a national examination for physical therapists taken on or after March 14, 1996; or

A raw score that is no lower than 1.50 standard deviation below the national average for a national examination for physical therapists taken before March 14, 1996.

Physical Therapy Assistants

To be certified as a PTA, an applicant for certification shall obtain:

A scaled score of 600 or more based on a scale ranging from 200 to 800 on a national examination for physical therapist assistants taken on or after March 14, 1996; or

A raw score that is no lower than 1.50 standard deviation below the national average for a national examination for physical therapist assistants taken before March 14, 1996.

Jurisprudence Exam

To be licensed as a PT or certified as a PTA, an applicant shall obtain a scaled score of 600 or more based on a scale ranging from 200 to 800 on a jurisprudence examination.
