Tricare and CHAMPVA Coverage of Therapy Services

Therapy Comply, a physical and occupational therapy education and compliance firm, will be presenting a webinar on Tricare and CHAMPVA Coverage of Therapy Services on June 21st at 12:00 PM CDT and again on June 22nd at 12:00 PM EDT. The course will discuss Tricare covered services and compliance issues for physical, occupational, and speech therapy services.

The webinar will be recorded.  All registrants will receive a copy of the slides and access to the recording. 

The course will cover:

  • Network vs. Non-Network Providers
  • Tricare and CHAMPVA covered therapy services
  • Documentation and medical necessity
  • PTAs and OTAs – supervision and reimbursement
  • Prosthetics and orthotics
  • Specific services: NMES, biofeedback, TENS, dry needling, ect.
  • Prior Authorization and filing appeals
  • Billing Tricare patients for non-covered services

Speaker: Zachary Edgar JD, LLM is the managing partner for Therapy Comply.  Zachary is healthcare attorney who specializes in state healthcare regulatory issues particularly for physical and occupational therapy practices.  Zachary has spent the last ten years as in-house counsel for a physical therapy management company where he handled a wide variety of healthcare legal issues including: federal and state healthcare fraud and abuse laws, state professional and facility licensing issues, HIPAA, employment issues, and Medicare and Medicaid compliance.  Zachary obtained his BA and JD from the University for Arizona and an LLM in healthcare law from Loyola University.
